Don’t let some random person open up credit cards or loans under your name. Freeze it like Mr Freeze would. Your information is probably already out in the wild.

Some tips

  1. Freeze your entire families credit not just yours
  2. Freeze them at all 3 credit bureaus
  3. Get ready to be asked some questions from years back
  4. Setup an account for future freezing and unfreezing
  5. Keep you pins in a secure place like a password manager LastPass
  6. Remember if you are planning on opening a loan or applying for credit cards you’ll need to unfreeze your credit first, hope you remember where you put that pin
  7. Don’t forget to freeze your kids, not literally, just their credit too

Where do I freeze/unfreeze it?

  1. Equifax - hacked back in 2017. :(
  2. Transunion
  3. Experian
